Dr. Angel Castro
I am an observational astrophysicist currently working as a Royal Astronomical Newton International Fellow (postdoctoral researcher) at the University of Southampton, UK. My current line of research includes optical and X-ray observations of fast-variability sources. As part of my postdoctoral research, I actively collaborate in the instrumental development of a new high-efficiency, high-speed, optical system designed to perform simultaneous triple-band observations of variable and transient sources. My observational experience also includes a wide variety of objects such as AGNs, eclipsing binary stars, cataclysmic variables and open stellar clusters.
